This research demonstrates the design of a fuel cell degradation coupon. After extensive operation time of a fuel cell, degradation is nearly inevitable, especially considering the high temperature operating environment these experiments are completed in. This coupon is used to quantify the degradation the fuel cell experiences over the course of the experiment while carefully balancing inlet and outlet gases, and electrical connections.
