The initiative to implement the Diversity and Equity Workshops at the Colorado School of Mines is in direct relation to the Diversity, Inclusion and Access initiative. This program promotes the creation of training workshops that educate faculty and staff about the experiences of diverse students and how to better meet their needs. Incorporating these workshops into Promotion and Tenure also provides incentives for faculty and staff to attend and complete the workshops they are interested in. This initiative contributes to the organization, education, and teachings of the President’s Council of Diversity, Inclusion and Access while also incentivizing the utilization of these workshops.
