Didn’t Miss a Beat of Dreamforce 2019

Although I did not have the pleasure to attend Dreamforce in person, I streamed the live broadcasts, not missing a beat! I am happy to have the privilege of working the the Salesforce Business Group at Accenture. Working for one of Salesforce’s most well-known partners, I have the pleasure to develop learning content and publish it on the myTrailhead platform.

If you are unfamiliar with Salesforce, they are a Customer Management Relationship (CRM) platform company that has revolutionized most of the business world. Using their reputation and pull in the business world, they are advocates for many types of change. They are laser-focused on 6 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals:

  • Quality Education ($90M donated for public education)
  • Affordable and Clean Energy (100% renewable energy by FY2022)
  • Sustainable Cities and Communities (LEED Platinum offices, supply chain engagement)
  • Gender Equality ($10M+ for equal pay)
  • Decent Work and Economic Growth (Pledge to America’s Workers 1M jobs)
  • Climate Action (Net-zero emissions, carbon neutral cloud, Step Up Coalition)

myTrailhead is the learning experience platform that is accessible by Salesforce partner companies around the world. It is used to streamline employee onboarding, upskilling, and adoption of the Salesforce practice.

It means a lot to be involved with this initiative because it was adapted from the public open-access Trailhead platform. The Trailhead platform is made for upskilling anyone with an email address so they can become familiar with the Salesforce practice. From there, they have a pipeline to access careers that will utilize their newly developed knowledge and skillset. It’s one of the many ways that Salesforce is assisting in making education more accessible and closing the educational gaps experienced by minority groups.

Big change be made when talk becomes action.
